    Making Face Masks

    My Grandma Judy gave me my sewing machine when I was in junior high and I’m still sewing on that Singer today–one of my favorite hobbies. My friend is a nurse in the infectious disease unit at one of our main hospitals here in Arizona and they are asking for cloth mask donations for use throughout the hospital. I made a bunch of face masks and my neighbors all threw in some pizza cash for the hospital personnel. I am so grateful for our community here.     Stories of the Sky

    When I worked at the Midland Convention & Visitors Bureau my favorite place to bring tour groups and journalists was the world’s largest collection of World War II aviation nose art at the CAF Airpower Museum. Darrell, a veteran, was our tour guide all those years. He brought those panels to life with the stories he told us. The brave soldiers painted their lady on the side of their plane to help get them through the tough times so far from those they loved.
