Stories of the Sky

When I worked at the Midland Convention & Visitors Bureau my favorite place to bring tour groups and journalists was the world’s largest collection of World War II aviation nose art at the CAF Airpower Museum. Darrell, a veteran, was our tour guide all those years. He brought those panels to life with the stories he told us. The brave soldiers painted their lady on the side of their plane to help get them through the tough times so far from those they loved. How romantic!

Authentic Texas (The Heritage Magazine of Texas) published my latest story, all about the Commemorative Air Force. >> Read it here <<
