    Retreating To Downtown Alpine

    Texas Monthly, Summer 2018 It’s no secret the Big Bend Region of Far West Texas is one of my favorite places to venture. My husband earned his master’s degree at Sul Ross State University and so I’d join him on weekends in Alpine and explored the town while he was in class. It’s an easy place to fall for. Great art, walkable downtown, live music, and delicious food. All surrounded by the tranquil Texas Mountains.
