Summer Reading Recommendations
Here are four books I recommend you check out this summer. (Click on the book cover to get your own copy)
Murder Once Removed – Congrats, my friend, on your debut novel! S.C. Perkins’ Murder Once Removed is the captivating first mystery in the Ancestry Detective series, in which Texas genealogist Lucy Lancaster uses her skills to solve murders in both the past and present.
Serena – Read it then watch the movie starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence! This novel by Ron Rash explores how our relationship with land impacts our relationships with each other.
Strange as this Weather Has Been – Every page reads like poetry in Ann Pancake’s novel about the heartbreaking effects of strip mining in West Virginia.
Killers of the Flower Moon – An unbelievable true story everyone should read. I had the pleasure of meeting David Grann and hearing him discuss how this book came about. Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio are developing it into a film. But read it first!
