    Discover a Place with Unique Heritage and Natural Beauty West Virginia Tourism  I think my favorite part of my trip to Mercer County, in Southern West Virginia, was the people. I spent a few days exploring the county on assignment with hosts that made me feel as if I’d known them my entire life.     Texas Monthly, Summer 2018 It’s no secret the Big Bend Region of Far West Texas is one of my favorite places to venture. My husband earned his master’s degree at Sul Ross State University and so I’d join him on weekends in Alpine and explored the town while he was in class. It’s an easy place to fall for. Great art, walkable downtown, live music, and delicious food. All surrounded by the tranquil Texas Mountains.
