Big Bend on the Big Screen

It’s no secret the Big Bend Region of Far West Texas is one of my favorite escapes. Spotty cell service, wide open spaces, no television, and endless nature is my drink of choice. I had the pleasure of writing this feature for the 2019-2020 Big Bend and Texas Mountains Travel Guide.  Read the article here (accompanied by fabulous photographs from Sarah Vasquez). As a result of writing this article, I received a personal invite by one of the original Fandango “groovers” to Ultimate Fandango Sept. 30-Oct. 4, 2020. You, too, are invited—let’s all go toast our youth over the Rio Grande!

    A Glorious Morning

There’s something about those gorgeous Appalachian Mountains that call your name time and time again. I had the pleasure of staying at the Morning Glory Inn on a road trip to Pocahontas County, West Virginia. Owners Rod and Karin welcomed us like we were family and made us immediately feel at home. I can’t wait to go back. This part of the country should definitely be on your bucket list. I wrote a story for WV Living magazine. >>Read the story here<<
