Why Horses Wear Shoes

I had the great pleasure of writing about farriers for the October issue of Texas Co-op Power magazine. This one was extra special because my sister Kristin Tyler took the photographs and I got to interview Jim Crawford, our family’s horseshoer. Growing up on our ranch in West Texas, 45 minutes from town, I looked forward to the days when Jim would come to shoe our horses and tell his many stories.
