Rendezvous on Route 66

The Mother Road still offers a journey through a slice of American life

My second cover story is featured in the July 2018 issue of Texas Co-op Power magazine—all about Route 66. This was a fun one to write! In preparation, I re-watched Pixar’s Cars and read (embarrassingly, for the first time) The Grapes of Wrath. If you’re like me and read Stephen King rather than the required reading in school and are now trying to catch up on the classics, I highly recommend this one. Steinbeck is one of the greats. Though, there’s no shame in King. He’s another great. His Desperation is on my nightstand now. Two road trip novels, both horror stories in their own way.

I digress. Check out my latest article, then hit the road! >>Read it here<<

Bonus! I wrote a spin-off article in the July issue about classic cars, because what’s Route 66 without the classic cars that ride it? And vice versa. >>Read it here<<
